HONEYMOON GATEWAY: DENVER, CO

Once you’ve said “I do” in Denver it couldn’t be easier to get yourselves to some of the world’s most interesting honeymoon destinations.

First, make your way to Denver International Airport on the A-Line – it’ll take you all of 37-minutes to get to the airport from Union Station.

Next, book a flight on Icelandair, United or Lufthansa and find your way to exotic and unexpected spots around the world.  Here’s how:

Icelandair offers nonstop flights six or seven times a week to Reykjavik, depending on the season.  Icelandair is known for their very reasonably priced fares and flexibility when you stopover in beautiful Reykjavik before heading on to any one of the 25 European destinations that Icelandair serves.

United Airlines provides non-stop service on the new 787 Dreamliner to Tokyo’s Narita Airport. The comfort of the new 787 Dreamliner really eases the jetlag and discomfort associated with long-haul flights.  This flight is a two-class cabin, so the BusinessFirst class cabin provides fully flat sleeper seats with all of the associated amenities.  One of the conveniences of flying into Narita is the immediate access to the rest of Asia on multiple flights and carriers.  Stop in Tokyo, carry on to the rest of Asia. If you're heading to Tokyo, be sure to check out this guest post from our friends at Man About World for 10 Things To Know If You Want To Go — Japan.

Lufthansa currently offers daily nonstop service to Frankfurt and five weekly non-stop flights between Denver and Munich. Come March 2017, Lufthansa will be flying daily to Munich.  If you’re frequent flyer on any of the Star Alliance carriers, there is simply no better way to travel, particularly if you or your fiancé have 1K or Global Services status on United.  Lufthansa is one of the few Star Alliance carriers that accepts system-wide upgrades on qualified ticketing.  This is a great opportunity to purchase an upgradable business-class ticket and upgrade to their exceptional first-class service. But, make sure your flight is a three-class cabin! Take a load off in Munich before you make your way to the Mediterranean or Middle East.

Now, if a flight isn’t in your future, you could also make Denver and all of Colorado, your “weddingmoon” destination! We know we don’t have to tell you that you are but a stone’s throw away from some of the most spectacular mountain resorts and honeymoon experiences the world has to offer.

Who knew that Denver was not only a prime wedding destination, but also your gateway to honeymoons aplenty!
