Let's face it: your wedding day will be your best day ever. And yet, for many, it can also be the most stressful day ever, too. At least for part of it!
So, rather than spend one minute focused on anything other than the love you have for your fella and setting out on a wedded life together, here are some pointers for keeping your energy where it should be on your big day.
TURN IT OFF
This could not be more obvious, but our digital tethers are hard to free ourselves from, especially on our wedding day. But, our devices can be the biggest source of stress on our wedding day. Set an "out of office" message that gives people a person to contact. Post your wedding photos after the big day #tbt #staypresent.
ZEN IT OUT
Start your wedding day with a meaningful guided meditation. Get everyone centered, grounded and mellowed to keep the day from "revving" too high. And, if someone does start to spin out, yourself included, take a mindfulness break.
BLESS YOUR GUESTS
This is certainly for the more "woo woo" inclined, but take time with each guest before you exchange vows. Place your hands on their shoulders and either say or think of a blessing you have for each of your friends and family. This sets a tone for the ceremony by creating a deep connection between you, your husband-to-be and all guests.
FEED & WATER YOUR CALM
While an obvious point, we cannot stress enough the truism "you are what you eat (and drink!) on your wedding day. From the obvious soothing teas, to the more specialized supplements (amusingly, horny goat weed goes a long way to calming the mood), from light, plant-based meals to even probiotic shots, there are many ways to feed your calm.
