You're Invited

Before you gorge on a heaping helping of too many options for your save the date, invitations, programs, menus and thank you cards, remember that all of your printed materials are a significant part in setting the tone and delivering the concept of your wedding.

But, also remember that these are all ephemeral goods and design them accordingly.

You might be one for letterpress and filigree on 100-pound stock. Or, you might be one for a stamp and ink pad on butcher’s paper. Either way, get to know your designer; understand with him or her how much you should pay to create an object someone might keep for life or trash seconds after putting the information in their smart phone. And think of all of your printed materials as one effort so that you truly “measure twice and cut once."
